Things to Consider about Conservatory Shutters

  • They are not suitable for all windows
  • They can sometimes reduce the amount of natural light coming into the room, depending on several factors like which way the window is facing, and the height and width of the window
  • Shutter doors swing inwards into the room, so some furniture may be in the way
  • Shutters are expensive when compared to most types of blinds and window coverings
  • They are a permanent fixture and can’t be easily removed
  • While they can be removed, this may be costly as you may need someone to remove them for you, and you may need to redecorate around the window once they have been removed

Will my shutters be blackout?

How long will they take to install?

On average, it takes around 1 hour per shutter to install. This is dependent on several factors, such as the size of the blind and access to the window.

How much do conservatory shutters cost?

From £150 – £600 per window (Can be more depending on size and style)

£600-1000 per large window (Can be more depending on size and style)

Patio Doors from £500 – £1500 (Can be more depending on size and style)

How should I care for my conservatory shutters?

Shutters are low maintenance and incredibly easy to clean. To keep them free from dust, clean them using a feather duster or vacuum with an upholstery brush attachment. They can also be wiped down with a dry or damp cloth.

Had blinds fitted today. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent! Appointment times to suit and Jac in the office kept me fully up to date through the whole process. The fitter Tom was really friendly and knowledgeable and done an amazing job on measuring & fitting.
Although I have a few local blind companies near me I travelled to Excell Blinds as they were recommended by our letting agent. We had to replace all the header rails for the vertical blinds in our rental property and I found them to be quick and very reasonably priced. Would definitely use them for blinds again. Staff were very nice and helpful too
