Things to Consider about Day and Night Blinds

• Large blinds can be heavy to draw up and down
• There is light bleed in between each slat and around the edges so you may need additional coverings if you need your room to be blackout dark
• Child safety devices can be fiddly to put back together (these are required by law on all Venetian blinds that are cord operated wherever you buy them)
• Need to cleaned regularly as they will collect dust, as with any horizontal surface dust will settle
• Venetian blinds with cord ladders are much easier to clean than those with taped ladders by simply using a feather duster or by using specifically designed Venetian blind cleaning tools
• Tape on the Venetians can get dusty as this is made of cotton – this can be replaced if it gets dirty or damaged
• Dark colours will fade over time in windows that get lots of sun
• All blinds will fade to some extent, usually this is only minimal
• Can be awkward to take down and put back up if needed

They are available in a wide range of fabrics, colours, textures, patterns, and finishes, including standard and blackout fabrics. We have something to suit any space.

The downside to roller blinds is you have a bare window and no privacy when they are rolled up. So, Day and Night blinds are designed to give you the privacy you require while rolled down yet still allow you to see out and let plenty of light into the room. Day and Night blinds are a modern choice for customers as they are positioned to give you lots of variations of light and privacy control. They can be rolled up and out of the way during the day leaving your windows clear and allowing plenty of light in and then rolled back down in the evening when you want some privacy.

There is a great selection of different day and night blind fabrics, patterns, textures, colours and styles that mean you should be able to find something for every room in the home. They can also be customised to match your décor with a range of different coloured cassettes and bottom bar finishes, such as white, anthracite grey, black, chrome and brushed metal. There is also the option to have a fabric insert into the cassette at the top of the blind in a matching or contrasting colour (see photos for ideas).
